SGMLC estimates that the total investment will be approximately $40,800 for a smaller studio, this amount is based on the training fee, furniture, fixtures, equipment, inventory, travel, rent deposits, insurance, some working capital and other costs. The ideal size of a studio is between 1,400 and 1,750 square feet. However, there are SGMLC studios that are as small as 800 square feet.

SGMLC is an interactive studio offering walk-in mosaic projects for budding artists as well as Tools and supplies for seasoned Stained Glass and Mosaic veterans. Customers enter a relaxing environment, choose from over 60 unfinished surfaces, and spend an hour or two cutting glass and gluing it to the surface to create beautiful works of art. Mosaics can be taken home the same day they are made.
This business is not only fun, but personally gratifying. If you enjoy teaching and have people skills, and have some business understanding, SGMLC can provide you with the skills to own and operate your own successful business. Based in Virginia Beach Virginia, SGMLC was founded in 2002. The training studio is located in Virginia Beach which is a great family vacation destination.
